Every great wine estate has its chapters. Plantagenet's latest opened in 2018, when Tom Wisdom returned to the winery as managing director, drawn back to where his family's story in wine began.

Three years later, in 2021, he and Jo took ownership outright, keeping one of Western Australia's pioneering estates in the hands of the Lionel Samson family, the state's oldest. They set their focus on the historic Wyjup vineyard, first planted in 1971. We call it the Wisdom Era, and the Wyjup Collection is its first full expression.

Hosted by Plantagenet Head Winemaker, Mike Garland. Explore three curated Wyjup tasting flights featuring six wines, while discovering the rich heritage and craftsmanship behind one of Western Australia’s most acclaimed wine producers.

Set within the venue that honours Dr John Gladstones - the visionary who helped establish Mount Barker as a world-class wine region, this intimate evening offers a rare opportunity to experience the latest Wyjup release in the place where the story began.

Wednesday 26th August - Old Bridge Cellars, North Fremantle

Join Chief Winemaker Mike Garland for a first look at the 2026 Wyjup Collection.

Mike will guide guests through 11 wines, tasted in brackets, allowing you to compare the Estate wines alongside their Wyjup counterparts across Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. It's an opportunity to explore the direction and decisions that define a flagship collection.

Premium cheese boards will accompany the tasting, making for an evening of exceptional Great Southern wines, fascinating comparisons and firsthand insight from one of the region's most experienced winemakers.
