Built from handmade mud bricks and local timbers, our cellar door is on Albany Highway in the town of Mount Barker in the heart of the Great Southern Wine Region. Here you can explore the Plantagenet range including guided tastings of our rare museum and limited release Wyjup Collection wines
The site was originally an apple packing shed until converted by Plantagenet founder Tony Smith to a winery in time for the 1975 vintage. Since then the winery has evolved and expanded to its current form and offers visitors an authentic wine experience. In the early days, Tony would often take a break from winemaking activities to taste the wines with visitors and the chances are that one of the current winemakers might also stop by to say hello.
